BrainTuning workshop

Music, emotions, and brain plasticity

Welcome to an international and interdisciplinary workshop organized by the Braintuning project at the University of Helsinki on February 5–6, 2009!

The workshop will bring together scientists who share interests in music from the view points of music perception, learning, and emotions as well as their neural determinants. In addition to findings in the field of basic research, also most recent developments in music therapy and rehabilitation will be displayed.

The highlights of the program will be the keynote lectures given by Prof. Penhune, Prof. Samson, and Prof. Zentner. Moreover, there will be ten oral presentations and a poster session (see call for poster abstracts).

In addition to the scientific program, there will be a welcome reception hosted by the Rector of the University of Helsinki.

Additionally, a congress dinner will be available on February 5, 2009
